Student Code of Conduct
District 6 expects all students to behave appropriately for an educational environment and follow school rules. Any behavior which disrupts the learning environment, and or is detrimental to the safety and welfare of other students or staff is subject to disciplinary action. The principal or designee may apply disciplinary consequences including suspension or a recommendation for expulsion for any student who engages in one or more of the following activities: gang activity, drugs, weapons, Title IX violations, etc.; while in school buildings, on district property, when being transported in vehicles dispatched by the district or one of its schools, during a school-sponsored or district – sponsored activity or event and off school property when the conduct has a reasonable connection to school or any district curricular or non-curricular event.

Classroom Managed Behaviors
The exampels of student actions listed below do not require administrative involvement. They are managed by the classroom teacher using Jefferson Junior's Classroom Management System.
- Inappropriate language
- Insubordination
- Disruptive
- Late to Class
- Inappropriate Use of Electronics, classroom items, etc.
Administration Managed Behaviors
The examples of student actions listed below require administrative involvement.
- Physical aggression or harassment
- Gang activity
- Habitual minor violations
- Drug or alcohol violations
- Weapons
Bullying Prevention and Educaiton (Board Policy JICDE)
Bullying behavior can have a negative effect on the school climate and can lead to more serious behaviors affecting the health, safety, and welfare of students. The Board supports a secure school climate, conducive to teaching and learning that is free from threat, harassment and any type of bullying behavior. The purpose of this policy is to promote consistency of approach and to help create a climate in which all types of bullying are regarded as unacceptable.
A Few Examples:
- Name calling, taunting, demeaning comments
- Pushing, shoving, kicking, book checking, hitting, pinching, tripping
- Holding someone agains their will
- Spitting (also a form of assault)
- Written notes or graffiiti in building about an individual
Students who continue to bully will receive Jefferson and/or District consequences and the issue will be turned over to the Greeley Police Department.
