Vision and Mission Statement
Our Vision
Jefferson Junior High's vision is to inspire every student to thrive academiclaly, emotionally, and socially. By nurturing a culture of respect, resilience, and growth, we aim to empower our students to become confident individuals who lead fulfilling lives and contribute to society.
Our Mission
At Jefferson Junior High, we create a safe and supportive environment where students reconnect to their education and prepare for their professional lives by setting and accomplishing goals while developing essential skills. We foster self-confidence and a positive self-image in all our students through authentic relationships and productive struggles. Ultimately, we equip our students with the skills and desire to be positive contributors to their communities.
Welcome to Families
Jefferson Junior High School offers students the opportunity for a "fresh start" in making positive changes for a successful future. Many students that attend jefferson Junior High were not successful in a traditional school.
We have the following goals for our students:
- Each student will connect with a "trusted adult" in the building who will serve as a positive role model and be their advocate when issues arise.
- Having a trusted adult and a positive school culture, students can commit to making positive changes.
- Students will advocate for themselves in an appropriate manner and be polite.
To assist students in attaining the above goals, we have two school counselors, a part-time Northrange Therapist, a part-time School Psychologist, and a Refocus Room Behavior Interventionist. We have a school-wide behavior managment system and a positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) system that focuses on positive student actions.
Jefferson Junior High's staff looks forward tow orking with students and their families throughout the school year.
Please contact us if we can be of any assistance!
